Send bills & KOTs straight to your network thermal printer

Real ESC/POSWorks with any LAN/Wi-Fi thermal printer (Epson, TVS, Rugtek, Xprinter…). No new hardware from us.

How it works

Browsers can't open a direct connection to a printer, so Coal & Coin uses a small helper that runs on your billing PC:

Coal & Coin (browser)  →  Print Bridge (this PC)  →  Printer (Wi-Fi, port 9100)

Until you set this up, every Print button still works through your browser's print dialog — the bridge just makes it one tap to the kitchen printer.

Download the one-click launcher

Get the launcher for your billing PC. It sets everything up for you — no terminal, no manual install. Save it, then double-click it.

Prefer to run it yourself? Grab the raw rai-print-bridge.js and run node rai-print-bridge.js. For a no-Node standalone .exe, see the build guide in the repo.

Double-click it to start

It downloads the bridge, installs Node.js if your PC doesn't have it, and starts running. Keep the window open while you bill. (Windows may show a SmartScreen warning the first time — choose More info → Run anyway.)

Find your printer's IP

Most network thermal printers print their IP on a self-test slip (hold FEED while powering on), or it's in your Wi-Fi router's device list. It looks like 192.168.1.50.

Enter it below and test

Add the printer IP, pick your paper width, hit Check bridge then Test print (and Open drawer if a cash drawer is plugged in). Then every Print button in Coal & Coin goes straight to this printer.

Good to know

  • • The one-click launcher installs Node.js for you if needed. For a fully standalone .exe with nothing to install, build one via print-bridge/BUILD.md in the repo.
  • • Cash drawer: if a drawer is plugged into the printer's port, the “Open drawer” button and the Cash action on Collect pop it open (standard ESC/POS kick).
  • • Bills and English/roman KOTs print perfectly. Devanagari (Hindi) depends on your printer's font — if it garbles, use the browser print for vernacular slips.
  • • The printer and the billing PC must be on the same Wi-Fi/LAN. USB-only printers work via the browser print path (set them as the system printer).
  • • Settings are saved on this device — set them once per billing counter.
